Reunion Tower is planning to dim its lights for a little over a month to help provide a safe passage of birds in their annual spring migration through Dallas.

It’s part of the annual Lights Out, DFW! campaign by the National Audubon Society, who say that city lights can often disorient migrating birds leading them to crash into buildings.

Per NBC DFW, between April 14th an May 18th, Reunion Tower will turn off its lights from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. From dusk to 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. to sunrise, the lights will be dimmed by 50%.
