There are many different ways drinkers pick their favorite bar. For some it's the cost of drinks, for others its location, but the best way to decide if a bar is worthy or not is by its vibe. Now, a new beer garden is opening up in DFW that promises to have a vibe many in Texas can get behind. Old 75 Beer Garden is expected to open this fall, and when it does it will have what the owner calls a "Matthew McConaughey-Texas vibe."
Located at the Richardson Restaurant Park, at 744 S. Central Expy., just north of Spring Valley Road, the new beer garden coming to Richardson will bring plenty of drinks, food, music and games to the area. According to Dallas Culture Map, the classic Texas-style beer garden model includes an outdoor space for adults and families to relax, drink beer or cocktail, eat food, listen to live music, watch sports TV, and play games. "We wanted to introduce an outdoor space to the Richardson area that personifies a bit of the Matthew McConaughey-Texas vibe, where locals can come together for any gathering," said owner Kirk Hermansen.
The 15,000-square-foot outdoor area will have communal seating, under the shade canopy of 12 live oak trees. The beer garden will also include Game Court, fire pit, live stage, big screen TV and 20 additional TVs. Soon Richardson may have a new drinking spot.
