Ridley Scott is one of the most well-known directors in Hollywood, leading the way for some of the most beloved films in movie history. Of course, some of Scott’s most cherished films come from the ‘Alien’ franchise, as he directed the 1979 original, along with the 2012 prequel ‘Prometheus’ and 2017’s ‘Alien: Covenant.’ However, with the franchise set to be rebooted once again, this time for television, the director has expressed concern with the project, claiming it will “never be as good” as the original.

With multiple projects currently in the works, Ridley Scott has handed his ‘Alien’ franchise over to ‘Fargo’ showrunner Noah Hawley, who will be bringing the franchise to FX. While the upcoming series is yet to start production, Scott is already lowering expectations. “It’ll never be as good as the first one. That’s what I’ll say,” said Scott.
