
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has unveiled their list of nominees for the class of 2022. Like every year, there are some familiar names, along with some heavyweights making the list for the first time. Of course, many fans are hoping this is the year their favorites make it in, such as Pat Benatar and Duran Duran.
On Wednesday, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced the 17 names their voters will decide between for this year’s class. The 10 artists returning to the nominees list include; Pat Benatar, Kate Bush, Devo, Eurythmics, Judas Priest, Fela Kuti, MC5, the New York Dolls, Rage Against the Machine and Dionne Warwick. The seven new names making the list for the first time are; Beck, Duran Duran, Eminem, Dolly Parton, Lionel Richie, Carly Simon and A Tribe Called Quest.

Of course, many were stunned names like Duran Duran, Dolly Parton and Carly Simon were yet to be nominated, while artists like Pat Benatar, Devo and Eurythmics still wait for their name to be called. Luckily, fans will have the chance to have their voice heard with online fan voting. According to Variety, the fan voting is open now through April 29. Hopefully this year will be the year your favorite artist makes it to Cleveland.
