Going to Six Flags is a summertime tradition for many in DFW. However, this year has been a little difficult for some thus far due to the record high temperatures the metroplex has been experiencing. Luckily, the amusement park is now taking steps to help keep guests from overheating, including adding cooling stations throughout the park.
Six Flags Over Texas recently announced new measures to help combat the heat this summer. Along with adding cooling stations, the park will provide complimentary cups of water to guests and will have Emergency Medical Technicians crews on standby. “Our team members, whether it’s on rides park services staff, our food and beverage team members, they’re going to know if a guest does need assistance,” said Marketing and Communications Manager Brad Malone.
According to WFAA, multiple days with temperatures in the triple digits have led some guests to take additional measures to stay cool. “It’s very hot. We came prepared with fans,” said Katherine Kennedy, who brought her kids to Six Flags this week. Hopefully these moves help keep everyone cool and safe for the summer.
