We’ve seen plenty of companies around the world pack up and move their headquarters to North Texas.  Unfortunately, one beloved company is packing up and moving out.

When their merger with Schlitterbahn Waterparks owner Cedar Fair is finalized on July 1, Six Flags is planning to move their headquarters out of Arlington.

Per the Dallas Morning News, the newly-merged company, which will operate under the Six Flags name, will be headquartered in Charlotte, NC.

Six Flags has been headquartered in Arlington since 1961, and recently moved its base of operations to 1000 Ballpark Way, the site of the Texas Rangers’ former stadium, Globe Life Park. Before that, Six Flags’ headquarters were located in Grand Prairie since 2010.
