A guitar used, and eventually smashed, by Nirvana's Kurt Cobain recently sold at an auction held by GottaHaveRockAndRoll.com.

The winning bid was entered by a Texas collector who purchased the guitar for $101,250!

According to TMZ, Cobain used the Fender Stratocaster on Nirvana's tour of Europe in 1992, which was obtained by a crewmember and was later authenticated by Big John Duncan, a famous guitar tech known for his association with the band.
