DFW is the birthplace to some of the biggest names in music, and for many of them there is nothing better than getting to come home to perform. One of those artists is St. Vincent who recently revealed there is still one DFW show on her bucket list. The singer apparently has been lobbying the Dallas Cowboys to let her sing the national anthem at AT&T Stadium, and her latest request came while she was performing on ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.’

St. Vincent has been sitting in with the house band on ‘The Late Show’ all week, and during a recent episode host Stephen Colbert decided to ask the musician about her home town. Colbert, who revealed he has never been to DFW, asked St. Vincent to “sell me on Dallas.” According to Yahoo, when asked if she had ever sung the national anthem at a Cowboys game, the singer replied “No, but I have been trying to… They have never taken me up on my offer.”

Many fans were stunned by this, with some going to social media to request the team allow her to sing the national anthem. It is unknown if St. Vincent has heard back from the team since her public request. Hopefully she gets the chance to perform at a game this year.
