There’s always room for one more, at least in the Lone Star State.

Researchers from Sister Wives, a polyamory dating platform, found that Texas is the No. 1 “most polyamorous” state in the nation.

Insiders for Sister Wives said per the NY Post, “With more than 18,000 average monthly Google searches for ‘polyamory,’ it’s no surprise the Lone Star State ranks highest,” adding that Texas makes up about 10% of the site’s subscribers.

The insiders continued stating, “A 2024 study found that Texas was ranked the second-best state for dating, due to its thriving social scene and large number of singles.

“Unsurprisingly, the state’s major cities, Houston, Dallas and San Antonio, also all rank in the top 10 U.S. cities most interested in polyamory and polygamy — providing Texas with its crown.”

Texas was followed by California, Florida, Georgia, and New York to round out the top five.
