Summer is officially here, and as the temperatures continue to rise, more and more people will be hitting the water to cool off. Of course, the only downside to swimming anywhere but a pool is all the creatures in the water that may try to swim with the people. A group of swimmers in Texas learned that the hard way recently, when they got trapped on a platform in a lake by some alligators.

Over the weekend, a visitor at Huntsville State Park took to social media to share videos of a group of people trapped on a swim platform as two alligators circled the area. "It looks hungry...It's getting dangerously close to the shore," the man captioned his now viral video. According to My San Antonio, Huntsville State Park is known to have alligators in the lake, yet many still took the risk entering the water.

As seen in the clip, some try throwing rocks at the alligators to get them to move away, but it doesn’t work. Eventually, park rangers arrived with a boat to get all the swimmers safely back to shore. For all those swimmers, they will likely stick to pools for the rest of summer.
