There are many celebrities that have attempted to get into the restaurant industry over the years. Some have been more successful than others, with a few even making their way to DFW recently. The latest comes courtesy of rapper 2 Chainz, as his tapas restaurant and bar is expected to open their next location in North Texas.
It was recently announced that Esco Restaurant and Tapas will soon take over the space at 1300 Jackson St. in Downtown Dallas. The new restaurant, which was founded by 2 Chainz in Atlanta back in 2016, features a menu of seafood, Southern dishes, and bar food staples. According to Dallas Culture Map, Esco currently has three locations, but this will be the first in Texas.
Renovations on the space are currently under way with plans to open at the end of 2023, and "no later than early 2024." With this restaurant, DFW may soon have its own celebrity hotspot.
