Before creating seemingly half the shows airing on TV right now, Taylor Sheridan was a student at Texas State University before dropping out to pursue his dreams.
It's never too late to complete your education tough, as Texas State just announced they will be awarding Sheridan with an honorary doctoral degree!
According to the school, Sheridan will be the 20th individual to receive the degree of Doctor of Letters, honoris causa, and which will be awarded to him at a later date.
Sheridan studied theater at Texas State before dropping out in 1991 to pursue an acting career. After acting for nearly 20 years, Sheridan switched focus to screenwriting and directing. He's co-created several shows for the Paramount Network including Yellowstone, 1923, 1883, Landman, Landman, Lioness, and Tulsa King.
In March 2021, he was inducted into the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame.
