Usually anytime a study is released ranking cities or states, the end result is finding out Texas is the greatest. Of course, nothing is perfect, and while the Lone Star state is as close as it comes, every once in a while a study has to rank Texas poorly just to keep egos in check. The latest to do so is a study that found the most miserable cities in America, and one Texas city was ranked in the top five.

Business Insider recently conducted a study to find out which cities in America are the most miserable. Looking at factors such as each city's workforce, household income, healthcare, and poverty, they were able to determine which cities were having a rough time. Sadly, five Texas cities were ranked in the top 50, included the number two most miserable city; Port Arthur, Texas.

According to CW33, the other Texas cities on the list were Brownsville at number 12, Huntsville at 20, Harlington at 39 and Pasenda at 48. Luckily, Texas avoided the number one spot, which went to Gary, Indiana. Based on Texas' track record, these cities will be booming in no time.
