Many drivers have been struggling due to the cost of gasoline over the last few months. With many gas stations currently posting prices over $4, people have been forced to find alternative in order to make their daily commute. Luckily, Texans got a bit of relief this week as the state just had its largest decline in weekly gas prices for 2022.
The price of gas may still be high in the Lone Star state, but at least it's lower than it was at the start of the week. Throughout Texas, there was an average drop of 16 cents per gallon, bringing the price at some gas stations to under $4. In DFW, there was a drop of 22 cents per gallon, according to CW33.

The average price of gas in Texas is currently $4.33, 42 cents per gallon less than the national average. “Gas prices will remain elevated compared to one year ago and could fluctuate in July, which is typically one of the busiest months in Texas for road trips and fuel demand,” said Daniel Armbruster, a AAA Texas spokesperson. Hopefully the drop continues, and we can get prices under $3 once again.
