They say everything is bigger in Texas, and that has once again been proven thanks to Texas Motor Speedway. Already, the Fort Worth race track has the Guinness World Record for the world’s largest HDTV screen, and now it will get even bigger. It was recently announced that Big Hoss will be renovated and will soon be 10% larger and have 22% more pixels.

Texas Motor Speedway’s “Big Hoss” TV screen is currently under construction with plans to debut an even bigger screen for the Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 400 NASCAR Playoff weekend on September 23 and 24. “With the advances in technology the last nine years, it was time to figuratively take the old TV out to the curb,” said Texas Motor Speedway’s executive vice president and general manager, Mark Faber.

According to Fort Worth Star Telegram, the new screen will go from 20,660 square feet to 22,692 square feet and will have over 8.2 million pixels. It will also have a 20% higher resolution than the old Big Hoss and be 16% brighter. Soon Texas will have another example of everything being bigger here.
