When it comes to state pride, no one does it quite like Texans. Whether they were born in the Lone Star state, or moved here later in life, pretty much everyone that lives here loves all things Texas. That’s why one Texas woman has set out to create a Texas-themed amusement park that she hopes to launch by 2026.

There are many amusement parks throughout Texas, but soon there may be one that uses the Lone Star state to entertain its guests. While Six Flags gets its name from Texas, the new amusement park will feature rides and attractions inspired by the Lone Star State. According to NBC DFW, It will be called TexasLand and could include things such as a Prada Marfa pavilion, a Fredericksburg stand that has fresh peaches, a recreation of the Fort Worth Stockyards, and a Houston pavilion featuring a rodeo.

The idea comes from Stanford graduate Lizzy McGee, who has been working on TexasLand since 2020. "You've kind of got the magic happening for the business side of things, but you need more than that. You need the secret sauce. And I think with Texas, you've got this unique culture," said McGee. While the amusement park is still in the early stages, soon many throughout the Lone Star may have a new favorite attraction.
