Spotting a wild animal roaming through a backyard is a normal occurrence for many homes throughout Texas. Here in DFW, it’s normally bobcats that surprise people at their homes, but for a woman living in the Texas hill country, she’s not quite sure what she spotted in her yard recently. Luckily, the woman was able to capture photos of the animal and now many online are trying to help figure out what it could be.

Tina Kahlig was stunned recently when she looked outside her Hill Country Village home only to find a wild animal feasting on berries that had fallen from a bush. While it seemed like it could be a dog or coyote, she couldn’t quite identify it, and grabbed a camera to snap some photos to see if the internet could help. According to Yahoo, the woman shared the photos on NextDoor where theories have ranged from mountain lion to “chupacabra.”

While internet theories continue to fly some zoo veterinarians believe it appears to be a canine with mange or other skin issues. Sadly, the world won’t know the truth until the animal is captured or appears again. For now, people will just have assume its whatever crazy creature they can think of.
