It won't be long before you book an Uber and a driverless car appears at your destination to pick you up.
Waymo, and pioneer of driverless technology has recently partnered with Uber to bring driverless robotaxis to Texas!
According to NBC DFW, driverless taxis could start arriving in Austin as early as next year. Riders will be able to book Waymo vehicles via the Uber app.
Per Automotive Dive, Waymo will first introduce its fleet of electric Jaguar I-Pace SUVs to Austin, though it's expected the number of Waymo vehicles will grow into the hundreds over time.
