When the white rock lake bald eagles’ nest was destroyed by wind back in February, many weren’t sure if they would see the birds back in the area again. However, a few weeks ago the eagles were once again spotted at white rock lake building a new nest. Now, new photographs of the eagles have been shared, showing them building a new nest in a more secluded and safer area.
The white rock lake bald eagles were once the talk of the town after the e unexpectedly took over Lake Highlands Park last year. Despite the city adding temporary fencing near the parking lot and signs telling visitors to stay away from the nest, the reign didn’t last long. However, new photos show the eagles are now back and thriving.

According to WFAA, resident Jimmy Martin has been photographing the birds and sharing their progress online. “It's a cool experience, and your pictures encourage others to learn more about them,” said Martin. Hopefully this time their nest stays out of danger and the eagles are here to stay.
