Videos of animals performing human acts are pretty much why the internet was invented. While most can’t get enough of these videos, some don’t seem to find them all that impressive. Luckily for those people, the latest animal video to go viral will definitely change their mind.
As seen in the now viral clip, a rhino at the Denver Zoo is an avid piano player, playing the instrument with its lips and creating original music for its caretakers. Bandhu, a male greater one-horned rhino, only recently learned how to play the instrument. According to People, the Rhino turned 12 in May, and to celebrate the occasion the zoo employees decided to see how it would handle the musical instrument.
“It might be his birthday, but Bandhu wanted to treat you all to a special song he wrote all by himself. Using his prehensile lip to compose a tune is just one of the many ways we can use enrichment to mentally and physically stimulate the birthday boy," the Denver Zoo wrote in their now viral post. Hopefully more piano performances from the rhino are on the way.
