The Space Between is set in Los Angeles during the ‘90s and features Grammer starring as Micky Adams, a washed-up musician whose last great album came in the 1970’s. Jackson White plays the role of Charlie Porter, a young label staffer hoping to break out of the mailroom.
Porter is tasked with traveling to Adams home to get him out of the contract, but is met with resistance as Micky drugs Charlie with a psychedelic substance. Adams realizes that Porter could be the key to the artistic breakthrough that he seeks as the two develop an unlikely friendship.
“The odd but powerful bond helps both gain perspective from each other on the music industry, life, love…and the space between,” a description in the film’s trailer reads.
The Space Between is set to be released on April 23 and will see an on-demand and digital release on June 15.
