The smell of fried chicken can be extremely distracting, as anyone near the aroma can't help but be drawn to its location as their mouths water. Prince William recently experienced this feeling, as photos recently went viral of the royal staring through the window of a KFC. Luckily, the fast food chain took advantage of the moment, giving Prince William a new nickname.
Prince William was spotted on a walk with his wife, Kate Middleton, in London this week, and while doing so proved to be just like everyone else. As William walked by a KFC restaurant, he couldn't help but get distracted, most likely from the smell, as photographers caught him staring into the restaurant. Taking advantage of the moment, KFC tweeted "William whispered quietly to himself; 'Oh, I just can't wait to be wing.'"
They followed up that tweet with the equally clever, "I'm sad I didn't call him His Royal Thighness in the main tweet tbh." Many commenters hopped on the chain to give their own food related nickname, and express similar feelings to Prince William. This is proof that no one can resist the smell of fried chicken.
