13 New COVID-19 Deaths Reported in Allegheny County, Not All From One Day

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) – The Allegheny County Health Department is reported 13 additional deaths as a result of COVID-19.

The deaths were not reported in one day but rather over the period of May 8-25. Of those 13 deaths, all but one are linking to a long-term care facility.


They range in age from 57 to 90 with the median age being 75.

12 of the reported new deaths are confirmed with one probably.

A total of 165 have now died in the county as a result of coronavirus.

The PA Department of Health reports 166 deaths in the county.

All deaths range in age from 42-103 with 85 being the median age.

There are also 13 new cases of coronavirus being reported in the county, 11 less than on Wednesday

That brings the county's total to 1,965 positive cases.

Of the county's cases, 14 percent of the county's COVID-19 total are in healthcare workers.

Two new hospitalizations are being reported with the number of those hospitalized past or present at 347.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health reports 32,3487 have tested negative for coronavirus. The Allegheny County Health Department has a digital map that can be used to follow the positive cases and their locations and densities across the county.
