HARRISBURG (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Governor Tom Wolf says he has made no decision about extending the business shutdown due to the coronavirus until May 15.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo made that announcement Thursday.

But in a conference call with reporters, Wolf made it clear he is not ready to open non-essential businesses.

“I think we ought to stay the course right now, this is hard, it is devastating the economy, no doubt about it,” said Wolf.

Wolf added he is working hard to get to a point when he will be able to make a decision.

Wolf also confirmed he will veto two Republican bills that passed the legislature that would allow more businesses to reopen
