PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) -- As 2019 comes to an end, travelers in Western Pennsylvania may notice that they are seeing gas prices in their areas on the rise.
AAA East Central says that gas prices in Western Pennsylvania is currently five cents higher this week at $2.863 per gallon.
According to AAA's Gas Price Report, "Pennsylvania ranks among the top 10 most expensive state averages in the country," with prices averaging $2.79.
Gas prices in the area are up six cents compared to those in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast states, except for Vermont and Massachusetts, since Monday of last week.
