HARRISBURG, PA (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The Pennsylvania Department of Health has announced the Sunday, April 19 coronavirus update.

There have been 1,215 new positive cases of COVID-19 across the state.

The statewide total is now at 32,284.

There are also cases of coronavirus in every Pennsylvanian county.

The Department has also started tallying electronic and probable deaths, which brings the death toll to 1,112 in Pennsylvania.

The number increased by 276 from Saturday after the electronic and probable deaths were factored in.

There have been 126,570 people who have tested negative to date.

"We have been working to reconcile our data with information from several different sources, including our NEDSS reporting system and our county and municipal health departments," Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine said.

"This is the cause of the increase in deaths we are reporting today. This work takes time and so the increase in deaths today reflects the culmination of that effort, which will continue moving forward. The majority of these deaths did not occur overnight."

The Pennsylvania Department of Health has a state map to keep track of the locations and density of the positive cases.
