
PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - A protest is planned in West Mifflin today following the death of George Floyd while in Minneapolis Police custody last week.
The peaceful protest is planned for noon at Southland Center in Pleasant Hills, was organized by students.
Businesses have been boarded up head of the planned protest.
The protest may be related to video of two West Jefferson Hills students mocking the death of George Floyd on social media.
West Mifflin Borough posted online that people may want to avoid the area unless they have business to attend to.
In addition, a silent vigil In honor or George Floyd is happening at the East Liberty Presbyterian Church until 1 p.m.
