PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Some local colleges are now reporting confirmed cases of coronavirus.
The University of Pittsburgh says one student who's been living in a dorm there tested positive over the weekend.
Pitt is now reaching out to anyone who may have had made contact with the infected person.
Officials at Pitt said in a statement that they are aware of potential other cases at the university.
Robert Morris University confirms a shuttle driver there has tested positive.
As a result, shuttle service has been suspended.
The infected driver worked the overnight shift, but hasn't worked since March 15, so they believe the risk to students is low.
And last week, Carnegie Mellon announced one of their students had tested positive for COVID-19.
That individual is in self-isolation in off-campus housing.
Colleges have suspended in-person classes and are moving to all online instruction.
