Pennsylvania State Police in Fayette County are investigating the discovery of nine cats abandoned on the side of the road.
According to the Ninth Life Rescue Center, the animals were found in a large animal crate off of Church Road.
Several of the cats are believed to be pregnant.
Officials have yet to determine exactly how long the cats have been there.
Anyone with information on the cats is asked to call state police.
In the meantime, the rescue center plans to put the cats up for adoption at a later date.
Ninth life says they are doing “everything possible to find who is responsible. Did you see someone struggling to carry a large dirty, white crate” in the area of Walnut Manor Mobile Home Park.
