County Executive Sara Innamorato will reportedly announce the largest tax increase in Allegheny County history Tuesday.

KDKA Radio's Marty Griffin broke the news on his talk show Monday.

“Sources tell me the raise is about 160-plus million dollars,” said Griffin. “Sources telling me that it will mean several hundred dollars for folks in middle-class housing and even more for folks in upper-income, larger homes and this is before reassessment and another possible major boost.”

According to Marty's sources, that would mean a 46.5 percent increase.

He says Innamorato would need 10 votes on county council to pass the proposal.

Griffin says there is a time limit to get the proposal passed. That ends sometime in December.
