A fire Sunday night in New Kensington resulted in the death of a woman.
49-year-old Angel Gray died in the house fire. Her husband who was at a neighbors house was celebrating his 50th birthday. Angel wasn't feeling well and decided to go home from the celebration. Not long after, the house caught fire.
The fire happened just before 6:00 on Sunday evening at a three-story home on Fourth Avenue.
The fire went through the roof of the house and spread to the vacant house and vacant building on the right and left of the home.
Firefighters say the heat was intense and the smoke was to the floor and intolerable.
Angel would have been 50 on Friday, her and her husband have two children in their 20s.
The fire is being investigated by the state police fire marshal and New Kensington Police.
