When the temperature drops some people have to make the difficult choice to buy food over winter clothes. Hundreds of people won't have to make that decision this year thanks to the kindness of strangers.
One of those strangers just stepped up in a big way, adding hundreds of new coats to the hundreds of used outerwear that's helping people this year.
Watch the video on this page and we'll introduce you to Terri Dakan to find out what drives her do give back, and how you can follow her example.

The West Hills Food Pantry has been doing an annual coat drive, taking donations of used coats for more than 20 years. This year the need for food and clothing has grown dramatically while donations have dropped off.
They say that's typical when economic conditions get tough, but that's when they need help more than ever to serve folks in need.
Today Terri Dakan donated more than one hundred brand new coats that she purchased from Amazon, but it's not the first time she's rolled up her sleeves or opened her wallet to make a difference.

Just a few weeks ago she joined Marty Griffin and Larry Richert on The Big K Morning Show to let everyone know how to participate in another coat drive for kids:
So far, Terri and her family have donated more than three hundred coats for kids and adults this season and she's already got other projects in the works.
When Richard Bazzy heard about their involvement he had this message to share:
“If car dealers unite, our friendship eclipses our competition. We welcome the Dakan family and thank them for caring.” Richard Bazzy, Shults Ford President & Owner
