The man accused of stealing Kenny Pickett's SUV last month is now in the Allegheny County Jail after failing to show up for his hearing Monday morning.
Police say Christopher Carter hopped in the quarterback's Hyundai Genesis at Bowser Chevrolet in Monroeville and drove away.
A Steelers playbook was in the vehicle, but was recovered.
A preliminary hearing for Carter is scheduled next week.
