A retired police officer tells "The Big K Morning Show" he was shot at Sunday morning on the South Side in broad daylight.
The 77-year-old man named Ron said it happened around noon while he as picking his wife up from church.
He says he was driving when he came across another man standing in the middle of the street.
"I yelled at him to get out of the street, he turned around and yelled at me and I noticed he had his hand on his fanny pack so I drove past him and I spotted from the rearview mirror he pulled out a weapon, aimed and fired one," said Ron.
He says the bullet grazed the side of his car.
He told police the gunman is a white male, about 19-years-old and was wearing hoodie at the time.
