PITTSBURGH (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) An overnight shooting in Avalon left one man dead in a home on Prospect Street.
Police found the body around 12:45 a.m. Saturday morning and called the help of Allegheny County Police to open the investigation.
The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
The investigation has led to the arrest on a suspect.
Allegheny County Police announced that they have arrested 32-year-old Samuel Lee Tolfa in connection with the shooting.
Tolfa of Hopewell, reportedly ran from police when they attempted to arrest him.
Police eventually apprehended Tolfa and he is being held in Allegheny County Jail.
Tolfa could face charges of criminal homicide, aggravated assault, burglary, carrying a firearms without a license, and fleeing to elude.
