PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio KDKA) — The City of Pittsburgh reported Wednesday morning that Oporto Street, between Shamokin and Huron Streets, will be closed for traffic in the South Side Slopes indefinitely.
The City announced that the heavy, torrential rain that Pittsburgh received over the course of a few days was enough for a major landslide, and in turn, facilitated Oporto Street’s closure.
Moving forward, vehicles will only be able to access Huron Street from Baldauf Street.
Signs regarding the closure will be posted by the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure (DOMI).
