A McKees Rocks man, who is Vice President of the Pittsburgh Pagans Motorcycle Club, pleaded guilty to a federal firearms violation.
According to Acting U.S. Attorney Stephen Kaufman, 46-year-old Patrick Rizzo pleaded guilty in federal court to illegally possessing a firearm.
Rizzo was the target of an investigation by the Greater Pittsburgh Safe Streets Task Force.
In mid-October of 2020, authorities learned through intercepted communications that Rizzo had a Taurus Judge Revolver.
During a traffic stop by Pittsburgh Police on October 21 of last year, a marijuana roach was found on Rizzo and a search of his vehicle turned up the revolver loaded with five bullets. As a previously convicted felon, Rizzo is not permitted to possess a gun or ammunition.
In December of 2020, a federal search warrant was executed and Rizzo's apartment was searched. Law enforcement found two more guns, 165 rounds of ammunition as well as marijuana packaged for resale, heroin, cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
Sentencing is scheduled for October 26, 2021. Rizzo could spend up to 10 years in prison, get a $250,000 fine or both.
