
State troopers in Jefferson County in Ohio overnight tried to arrest a man in a vehicle who had several warrants, but instead the man led police on a chase from Ohio, through West Virginia and into Pennsylvania.
Ohio State Highway Patrol LT Robert Bodo speaking with News Radio KDKA:
"A pursuit then ensued down state route 7 at which point, the suspect fired three rounds out of his vehicles towards the trooper. Nobody was struck, no vehicles were damaged."
Ohio state troopers concluded their pursuit when the suspect crossed the state line into Pennsylvania. However, authorities in McDonald borough successfully located the vehicle at approximately 5 a.m. this morning and apprehended the suspect, Tyler Karhut, a 27-year-old resident of Toronto, Ohio, without any complications.
