PITTSBURGH (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) The Pennsylvania Resources Council (PRC) is launching its 2021 Hard-to-Recycle Collection Campaign.
It’s time to clear your home of the items that you may have been unable to get rid of in the trash and have collected dust for too long.
The first event will be hosted at the Gallerria at Pittsburgh Mills in Frazer Twp. on Saturday, May 22.
PRC has released a schedule of the multiple Hard-to-recycle events that will take place throughout the city and last into the fall season.
All events are from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Video game consoles
DVD players
As well as regular recyclable items
Some bigger items, however, will be taken, but for a fee; Those items include:
Televisions
Computer monitors
Printers
Fluorescent tubes
Tires, with or without rims
COVID-19 safety measures will be followed throughout the event.
“Again this year PRC is integrating procedures including advance registration and on-site logistics to reduce the number of interactions occurring between event participants and staff to promote safety,” according to PRC Interim Managing Director Sarah Alessio Shea. “To streamline the process at our events, we’re asking participants to wear face coverings and stay in their vehicles while the contractor unloads the materials.”
