Author and therapist Kara Bowman discusses her new book "Heartbreak to Hope"

It's been over a year since the first Covid-19 death, and thousands of Americans who have lost loved ones are still coming to grips with the grief and pain they've suffered.

That also includes frontline healthcare workers who have also experienced psychological and other symptoms of grief in response to patient suffering and death. Loss has also impacted others in the form of loss of companionship, intimacy, and family roles.

Kara Bowman, a licensed marriage and family therapist who specializes in grief and trauma, has written a new book titled Heartbreak to Hope: Poems of Support for Grief and Loss, which captures this challenging journey for millions of Americans.
