While it can be hard to detect your own bad breath, wearing a face mask all the time could have you noticing a certain odor.
According to the Academy of General Dentistry, up to 80 million people suffer from chronic bad breath, or halitosis, but all hope is not lost.
Instead of suffering through it (and allowing those you shelter with to suffer through it, too), here are some reasons your breath my stink and how you can fix it, according to CNN:
You're not brushing correctly - Brush with fluoride toothpaste twice a day, and make sure you're flossing regularly. Don't forget your tongue and cheeks!
It's something you ate or drank - Coffee and garlic come to mind as a couple of bad breath culprits. Fight back with foods that can help wash away impurities like lemons, parsley, and veggies.
You eat a lot of sweets - Gummies and caramels are the worst when it comes to affecting your breath. Reach for something like plain chocolate instead.
You're on a low-carb diet - Extra proteins can cause your breath to smell, so try drinking extra water with your low-carb diet along with sugar-free breath mints.
You're a mouth breather - Mouth breathing can dry out your mouth and cause your breath to smell. Drink lots of water and keep your dental hygiene up to snuff. Try to get to the bottom of your mouth breathing, and fix it.
You're taking medications that cause bad breath - Check your medication's list of side effects and consult your doctor if it gets really bad.
You're smoking or chewing tobacco - The most effective way to cut back on smoker's breath is to quit smoking.
