The latest job reports showed that 92,000 jobs were lost in February. Did AI play a role in that?

Derek Rydall, the author of A Whole New Human: Ten Ways We Must Evolve to Survive and Thrive in the AI Age, told KNX News’ Bob Brill that people should take a look at what the big companies are planning.

“The stated mission of the Hyper scalers, the Mag 7, is to replace all human labor,” he said. “When you understand what that means, it means anything that a human does that has any economic value to it.”

The seven companies are Alphabet, Amazon.com, Apple, Meta Platforms, Nvidia, Microsoft, and Tesla. Rydall said that while these seven companies are leading the way, there are new companies jumping into AI all the time.

“If you break that down even further, it ultimately means much of what humans have been valuable for, much of what has given us our identity,” he said. “nd so it's not just the mass potential of job loss, but also a global identity crisis the likes of which we have not even begun to comprehend.”
