They've dubbed him the "decoy deputy" and you could say he's cut out to catch speeders.
"Well, there he is. Deputy Wolf in a school zone, working," Williamson County Sheriff Robert Chody said while introducing folks to their newest deputy in a Twitter video. "Watch out for Deputy Wolf or any other cutouts we might have popping up around the county."
"Deputy Wolf" is made of cardboard, but he looks like the real deal. He's pointing a radar gun and, from a distance, you can't tell he's fake. He stands at about six feet tall and is modeled after a real deputy with the same last name.
Chody said they used money seized from drug busts to pay for the two-dimensional deputy, so it didn't cost taxpayers anything.
