City of Carrollton to open brand new Esports Center

Come this Friday, the City of Carrollton Parks & Recreation will open its brand new Esports Center to the public.

Through a partnership with BearClaw Army LLC, the space is equipped with 20 gaming PCs, a VR station, and two Nintendo Switch systems.

The grand opening at noon on Saturday, July 30 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 1 p.m. at Crosby Recreation Center. Those who show up for the ribbon cutting will be offered 30 minutes of free-play time, as well as a grand opening special of $100 for 100 hours of play. The special will run through the end of August with hours good until the end of the year. A taco truck will also be on-site serving free tacos to the first 100 people
