Dallas' Reunion Tower is set to put on a spectacular show to ring in the new year.

Every year, Reunion Tower lights up with fireworks to ring in the new year. This year is no different; and this year, they've added a 225-drone light show to the fireworks show. Even though they'll look like they're next to one another, there actually is quite a distance between the drones and the tower.

Gregg Elkin with Reunion Tower says the show is perfect for those wanting to socially distance.

"If you can see the ball you can see it so that obviously keeps people distanced in an appropriate manner," Elkin said.

Elkin says it took 250-300 people to plan and put on the fireworks show every year. He says the biggest challenge with each year is to one-up the previous year: "We try to be the cheerleader for the city so we're always looking to do something bigger and better."
