Uber and Alphabet's Waymo are teaming up to provide driverless ride-hailing services in Texas.

Uber announced on Friday that they'd help Waymo launch robo-taxi rides in Austin and Atlanta starting early next year. Despite past regulatory issues and crash concerns, Waymo has been permitted to resume testing in California, where they are continuing their development phase.

So far they have services in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Phoenix.

Despite the two companies clashing before, Waymo says its looking forward to work with Uber in other cities to help introduce driverless technology in new markets.
