The Covid surge has led one North Texas Emergency Room to close its doors temporarily.
The Hunt Regional Emergency Medical Center at Commerce is now closed. The hospital says it's because of the critical Covid surge and says if someone has an emergency - to call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room in Greenville or Quinlin.
The staff from the ER in Commerce is now working at the one in Greenville because of the urgent situation there.
The hospital says the goal is to reopen by the end of August. Hunt Regional Healthcare says this is a public health crisis, and they need everyone's help. The hospital's asking that anyone who has not been vaccinated to please do so as soon as possible.
