Just three days into the event, the 17-day Frisco Fair has been cancelled because the city has revoked the fair's permit.

Starting on Friday and running through May 14, the fair's problems began on Saturday, just a day after opening when police were called to the event area repeatedly due to reports of disruptive behavior, arguments, fights and even gunshots.

Resolving all the complaints took more than two hours and tied up more than two dozen police officers. It was also discovered that some exit gates were padlocked, a clear safety violation.

Citing the city's Special Event Ordinance, the city on Monday revoked the permit, saying the "revocation is in the community's best interest."

Any settlement of pre-purchased tickets should be addressed to the Frisco Fair operator.
