KAUFMAN COUNTY (1080 KRLD)- A Kaufman County jail escapee is now back behind bars following a few minutes of freedom Sunday afternoon.
About 3:30 Kaufman County deputies were transferring Kenneth Minafee from Forney police custody when he gave them the slip. But units from the Sheriff's Office, Forney PD, Terrell PD and constables from Precinct 2 converged, put on a massive search and found Minafee about 20 minutes later at a McDonald's.
Saturday, Forney officers arrested Minafee on a burglary charge. Now, an escape charge has been added to his rap sheet.
