Americans are getting an early start on Thanksgiving travel. With millions of people planning on traveling by air during the holiday, more than 2 million are expected to travel thru DFW airport this week.

DFW International airport has now become the second busiest airport in the world. One woman arriving in North Texas with her family from Orlando says she was trying to avoid the crowds.

But she says she wishes she had brought her jacket, saying the cold weather here will follow her back to Florida.

Others arriving Tuesday morning say they had to pay more for airline tickets than last Thanksgiving, but their travel plans are less flexible now than around Christmas.

Officials at DFW airport are urging people to arrive at least two hours before domestic flights and three hours before international due to check-in lines as well as security lines. Officials remind people they can also check TSA wait times on the airport's overhead boards and on the DFW Airport app.
